Three-digit number plate prices in the UAE

By UAE Number Plate Value · Sources checked:

Three digits can describe a repeated number, a palindrome, a round number or an ordinary combination. Our verified examples cover a few distinctive Dubai auction highlights, not the full range of three-digit plates.

What counts as a 3-digit plate?

Count only the main number. The Dubai letters, Abu Dhabi category or another emirate’s code remain separate parts of the identity. They are not added to its numeric length.

Without leading zeros, there are 900 mathematically possible 3-digit numbers per series: 9 × 102. That calculation is not a count of issued, available or transferable plates, and it does not determine a market price.

What the reviewed 3-digit sample covers

The reviewed eligible sample contains three completed Dubai results: AA 707, AA 222 and CC 100. Three records are too few for the sample-median rule used on this site, and all are selected distinctive numbers.

Snapshot date: . Each group below keeps the emirate and evidence type separate. Sample medians require at least five records; the bounds are observed sample prices, not a typical market range.

Compare AA 707 and AA 222 without overgeneralising

These two AA-code plates sold at the same auction. 707 reads the same in reverse, while 222 repeats one digit. Their reported amounts are close, but this pair cannot establish that palindromes and repeated numbers are always worth the same.

CC 100 changes the code, pattern and auction date. It adds a useful reported result, but not a controlled measurement of what the CC series or round-number structure adds.

A three-digit number does not automatically match a headline plate

A mixed number such as 584 has a different structure from 222. The checker may find same-length support within its market-class rules, but those plate differences remain a reason to inspect the source list and keep uncertainty in the range.

  • Match the full code or category where evidence allows.
  • Describe the actual structure: repeated, palindrome, round or mixed.
  • Treat personal meaning as a buyer preference unless a transaction demonstrates a premium.

Do not turn Dubai evidence into another emirate’s price

Abu Dhabi category 50 number 555 appears in an official auction announcement, but that source gives no achieved price. Its existence does not allow us to fill the missing price with a Dubai AA result.(Emirates Auction: Abu Dhabi category 50 announcement)

Frequently asked questions

What is the average price of a three-digit UAE plate? +

Our three eligible records are selected Dubai auction highlights, not a representative UAE transaction sample. We do not publish a national average or a median from this tiny group.

Are 707 and 222 the same type of pattern? +

No. 707 is a palindrome and 222 repeats the same digit. Their specific auction results do not prove a universal relationship between pattern prices.

Is Abu Dhabi category 50 number 555 a five-digit plate? +

No. The main number has three digits. The category is stored separately and does not add to the digit count.
