Single-digit number plate prices in the UAE

By UAE Number Plate Value · Sources checked:

A one-digit number can attract a headline price, but the full identity and the auction occasion matter. Our sourced examples explain the records without turning them into a current price list.

What counts as a 1-digit plate?

Count only the main number. The Dubai letters, Abu Dhabi category or another emirate’s code remain separate parts of the identity. They are not added to its numeric length.

Without leading zeros, there are 9 mathematically possible 1-digit numbers per series: 9 × 100. That calculation is not a count of issued, available or transferable plates, and it does not determine a market price.

What the reviewed 1-digit sample covers

The reviewed dataset has no eligible recent standard one-digit sale for current calibration. P 7 and Abu Dhabi category 5 number 1 were charity results. Dubai D 5 was a standard result in 2016, outside the model’s two-year sale window.

There is no eligible current comparison group to summarise. The historical table below supplies context, while the checker keeps those records out of current calibration.

Number 1 or number 7 is not a complete identity

Dubai P 7 is not Dubai A 7, and Abu Dhabi category 5 number 1 is not category 1 number 1. A headline referring only to “plate 1” may omit information needed for a meaningful comparison.

Guinness lists P 7’s AED 55 million result as a charity sale on 8 April 2023. That supports a statement about one specific event; it does not establish what every Dubai number 7 would achieve.(Guinness World Records: P 7 sale)

Why a record is different from an ordinary resale comparison

A fundraising event has a different bidding context from a private resale. The D 5 record also shows why dates matter: even a standard auction price from a decade ago is not fresh evidence for today’s negotiation.

  • Keep the emirate, code or category, number and sale date together.
  • Ask whether the amount was a completed result, an opening bid or an advertised request.
  • Do not infer a current value by taking a percentage of the most famous record.

What to collect before discussing a single-digit offer

Ask for the exact ownership identity and transaction route, then seek recent completed records for the closest available comparison. When there are no such records, a broad model output cannot resolve the negotiation by itself.

Check your complete plate identity

  • Dubai · P 7

Historical charity identity. The checker does not reuse the AED 55 million record as a current ordinary-market comparison.

  • Abu Dhabi · 5 1

Category 5 remains explicit. Current support is model-only, not the 2008 result.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a single-digit UAE plate cost? +

There is no single price across emirates and series. The published historical records describe specific identities and events; our sample has no eligible recent standard one-digit transaction benchmark.

Is the AED 55 million P 7 record a price guide for A 7? +

No. The code changes the identity and the P 7 result was a charity auction. It is excluded from ordinary-market calibration.

Why does the checker show Low confidence for a single-digit plate? +

Matching current transaction evidence is absent in the reviewed dataset. The displayed range therefore relies on model assumptions and explicitly says model-only.
